Friendship poems are easy to write. Most of you will have friends, I hope. And you would have experienced a myriad of emotions. You can let it down on a paper. I see friends who stand with us during the worst phase of life, and the ones who don’t get jealous of us when we win are more treasurable. A few of my friends have been with me for years. The one I befriended on my first day in kindergarten is still in touch with me! There are many more. I don’t know if I have ever been loyal and sincere. Luckily, my friends are so good that they motivate me and cheer me up now and then. If my family had been my biggest support in choosing writing as a career, so would my friends. And a big thanks to everyone.
The two poems below are my views about friendship. I have more ideas to write about friendship, but I felt I should write about them in another post. I hope you will love the friendship poems given below.
New Happy Birth – Friendship Poems
yesterday, I fell down
a step forward
there’s a deep gorge
a step behind
crocodiles await my arrival
some waited to see my fall
I felt embarrassed
there was no way out.
Even my prayers cannot save me
I felt disheartened.
everyone forgot the good I did
but had loads of abuses
curses and reasons behind my fall.
I smiled and knew it was the end
I closed my eyes not to see the worst
A hand touched my shoulder.
An old friend of mine was there
Rooting for me. Trusting me.
Reminding me of my good qualities.
And here I am, born again.
With renewed hope and strength.
I know I can cross this! My friend is with me!

My Many Hats – Happy Friendship Day Poem!
Different roles I play daily
A calm girl is my skin, worn always.
Now and then, I wear a writer’s coat
But my role as a friend
I like it the most.
Anyone can be my friend
It could be nature or the dog
Any human, irrespective of gender,
caste, creed, religion, or race.
In every friend, a different me I see
Kind to some and a mentor at times
Some teach me, pamper me, or even scold me.
I glimpse a panoramic view of life’s expanse
I observe them to find the depths of my mind.
Friendships teach us a lot.
Strengthens our walk and lifts us.
It lets us see the varied faces of us.
How do we dance on the world’s mosaic floor?
Isn’t it because of these happy connections?
And even if friendships betray or abandon
I will pick the role again and again.
It gives me the wings to soar high!
