How To Thrive In Today’s World? Poems On Resilience

A single green seedling emerging from cracked, barren earth in an abandoned garden at dawn, symbolizing resilience and hope with soft sunrise hues and dew on its leaves.

As long as there is resilience, this world cannot be said to have an end. Never give in to the weight of pain. Countless roads will stretch before you when despair seems thicker than everything else. Keep the hope alive like the moon. Wait to become whole so that you can shine again. You will one day shine, and the road that seems closed will open its arms.

The mind is limited, but nature and fate are limitless. They can lift us even after having dropped into the very lowest. Resilience is the quiet strength in our souls, reminding us that we can always rise. Today, I chose resilience as the theme and scribbled a few poems.

Poems on resilience speak of our darkest struggle and the darkest victories. It’s where survival struggle turns into beautiful motivational stories.

She had left the world.
Everyone leaves, I know
But her garden…
who will comfort the tender buds?

I stand there watching them weep.
Can I water them? Will they accept me?
Will I have time for my neighbor’s garden?

My mind guffawed
In a self-centered world,
where will you have time for others
I go back, praying for the tender life.

Time scrolls endlessly like Insta feed
The house has withered.
She no longer lives there.
I peep in to see her old garden.

A flower smiled at me.
As though she came alive again
Fighting odds, it kept on keeping her legacy.
Resilience- always the most beautiful.

Here is another garden related poem that connects with resilience. When it comes to surviving the odds, the thing that I could connect with much was nature. Around us, we see an earth that has an invisible brain that keeps it changing. The moving of the tectonic plates, the formation of new islands, and the disappearance of natural resources show us that the Earth is alive and is in the process of creating itself. As we keep grooming and evolving, the earth is on a journey. It’s not yet a completed creation. Hence, it keeps changing. By the way, is there anything in the universe that’s complete and not susceptible to change? I guess everything will become something spectacular and will keep going infinitely! Okay, enough of the philosophies. Sorry for those boring blabbering! Let us jump to the poem.

A New Green Rising

My door was locked
I had no visitors at my window.
Calls blocked
I was in a solitary trance.

But a long-lost seed stepped by
From where it came, I awed.
A tiny promise waiting for soil,
for water, for time.
I didn’t want to disappoint its hope.
My heart values its dreams.

Yesterday’s storms still echo,
the new intruder dug out my memory.
Here, in the palm of my hand,
hope trembles and breathes.

I bury it deep in humble earth,
knowing not if it will bloom.
So is my spirit, waiting to see me alive again.
I was looking for the green hand rising
To say, hey, I am thriving.
resilience moves beneath,
stretching toward a new life rising.

And though the wind howls,
I trust in the courage of seeds—
fragile, yet certain of tomorrow.
And in myself, that I will win all odds.
